Welfare

At Coventry Irish Society we offer advice & information on many different welfare issues. Our service is free, confidential & staffed by an experienced welfare adviser.

We provide a friendly, supportive service to all of our clients.

We can provide help & information about all welfare benefits including;

  • Income Support
  • Job Seekers Allowance
  • Employment & Support Allowance
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Tax Credits

We can also advise on other matters such as housing issues, blue badge scheme, heating & insulation grants & much more.

At present we have also hold 2 Outreach Clinics in the community;
St Oswald’s Church,     Takes place every Friday between 10am – 12pm
Jardine Cresent
Tilehill

Holbrooks Advice Centre Takes place every second Wed between 1.30pm- 4pm

We also help people who wish to return to Ireland, with information & advice. If you are aged 60 or over & would like to return home we can also help with finding you somewhere to live through the Safe home Programme.

If you need help to complete claim forms or would like any information or advice on any matter please feel free to pop into our friendly relaxed offices in Hill St to make an appointment or give us a call on 024 76 256629. For people who are housebound for any reason a home visit can be arranged.
