Coventry Irish Society provides free Counselling to all generations of the Irish community in Coventry

What is Counselling?

Counselling can offer you a safe and confidential environment in which to talk about your concerns or worries. Counselling is normally arranged once per-week for 50 minutes per-session and the fundamental purpose is to empower the client.

What issues could I seek counselling for?

People seek counselling for a very wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, panic attacks, obsessional compulsive disorders and much more, Counselling can enable you to see your situation from a new perspective, build your self esteem and equip you to communicate more effectively with others.

Aims of the Counselling Service

We aim to provide a culturally sensitive service that is easily accessible and available to all generations of the Irish community. We want to provide support and help to the Irish community and raise awareness of relevant issues such as the high instance of anxiety, depression and poor mental health that exists within our community.

Bereavement Support Group

Our Qualified Counsellor runs a support group for those people who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The Support Group enables people to provide support and understanding to others who may be experiencing similar emotions. The group is held on the last Friday of each month.
